Grab a mug and let’s chat mental health!
Today I’m sharing a little more personally about my experiences with postpartum depression and anxiety, and an update on how I’m doing currently. I decided to make this video after realizing how impactful hearing other moms’ stories has been for me. And I think the more we talk about it, the less stigma PPD has, and the less power it holds over us.
In the video, I share how I first realized I was experiencing postpartum depression, what steps I took initially, and how I’ve made adjustments after having Bennett and moving across the country. I mention Better Help online counseling and Faithful Counseling, and highly recommend them if you’re in a position like me, where you can’t find a counselor in your area.
There’s so much more I could have said on this topic – I really just scratched the surface. If you’re interested in this topic and would like to hear more, about my experiences or mental health from a Christian perspective in general, would you let me know in the comments below?
Knowing you’re not alone makes such a difference. I’m hopeful that if you’re struggling today, my story will encourage you!
