I’ve spent plenty of time over the last two months feeding Bennett, so instead of watching a show on Netflix, I decided to use the opportunity to catch up on my favorite motivational podcasts and find some new ones. Some of these are geared to women in business, others for Christian women, and others are really for anyone – they’re just like having coffee with your best friends in your own living room.
“I heard on a podcast … ” If you’re around me much, you’ll hear me say this! I actually heard on a podcast a story of a guy who went from taking his mom’s last $20 to buy gas, to a millionaire, having started five or six successful businesses. The number one change he made in his life that he kept mentioning was changing what he consumed – he stopped watching TV and got off social media, and started reading business, finance, and personal development books and listening to podcasts.
Whether you’re in the mood for a kick in the butt to pursue your dreams, a true story that inspires you with how God worked in someone’s life, or a new recipe recommendation, you’ll find something to love in this list.
Inspirational Women Podcasts
- The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey. Each week, Jamie talks with a guest on the show about anything and everything from motherhood, how they found Christ, how they started their business, overcoming shame and anxiety, walking through tragedy, to the three things they’re loving and what they’re reading. This podcast is my ALL TIME favorite, and through it, I discovered most of the other podcasts on this list. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll leave each episode inspired and encouraged!
- RISE with Rachel Hollis. Rachel’s book, “Girl, Wash Your Face” topped my favorite things list this summer, and the podcast is equally good. As a coach, Rachel calls out things in you that you can’t see yet in yourself. On the show, she interviews brilliant business women and shares her own insights from building a successful media company. She’s a straight-talking, butt-kicking inspirational speaker, but her ability to be equally vulnerable, real, and honest about her own story, struggles, and failures sets her apart.
- RISE Together. Dave Hollis joins Rachel to share advice for creating a better relationship. With humor and honesty, they share their own stories and occasionally interview guest experts.
- Hello Mornings with Kat Lee. A brand new favorite of mine, Kat and her guests share Bible studies, planning tips, and fitness advice for designing your powerhouse morning routine. I especially love her interviews with women I admire that explore their morning routines.
- The Sorta Awesome Podcast. When I listen to this show, I feel like I’m sitting in the living room chatting with a bunch of awesome mom friends. As the description says, “Daily life bumming you out? It’s so easy to forget that all around us (and within us!), awesome things are happening! Each week, Meg Tietz and co-hosts Kelly and Rebekah and tons of awesome guests serve up fresh doses of sparkly small things and help you process the serious and the silly topics of life all with an eye on helping you make your inner AWESOME shine.”
Women in Business Motivational Podcasts
- The Going Scared Podcast with Jessica Honegger. Jessica founded one of my favorite fair trade companies: Noonday Collection. On her show, she interviews fellow change-makers, and they talk about moving past fears to accomplish God-sized dreams. You’ll be encouraged and motivated to change the world, starting right where you are!
- Business Boutique. Brian introduced me to Christy Wright’s podcast when he heard about it on Dave Ramsey’s show. It’s geared for women in business and deep dives into marketing, selling, social media and profits.
- The Influencer Podcast. Publicist Julie Solomon and guests share insider info on influencer marketing and building an online business. Even if you’re not looking to grow an online community or sell a product, you’ll learn how to use your social media influence for good.
- The Goal Digger Podcast. “Host Jenna Kutcher brings you the the productivity tips, social media strategies, business hacks, and inspirational stories that can help YOU design your dream career.” I’m brand new to this podcast – but I’m already LOVING it! Jenna helps others build their online businesses, and I love her authenticity and advice.
I can’t guarantee that you’ll become a millionaire, but I can guarantee that if you listen to these podcasts for a couple hours a day, your life will change. You can’t be immersed in that much positivity, encouragement, and motivation and NOT become more positive, encouraged, and motivated!
