Note: I discovered this week that Polyvore, an online tool I used for building collages of all kinds, was unceremoniously shut down earlier this month. I wasn’t able to save my images ahead of time – which means that a lot of posts on my blog are not displaying photos anymore 🙁 A kind reader alerted me to this (Thanks Sarah!) but it’s going to take me some time to recreate them – so in the meantime, pardon the dust!
Now, on to our regularly scheduled programming: a few of my favorite finds this month, including some style, good reads, DIY, and other helpful links.
1. My Easter Dress from PinkBlush
I first noticed Pink Blush popping up on Instagram as the must-have floral maxi length maternity dresses became popular a year ago or so, and I mentally bookmarked it to save for my next pregnancy. As it turns out, their dresses are designed to be worn during, before, and after pregnancy – and they have some non-maternity ones as well. I just love the feminine details and patterns of their dresses, and I was so excited to snag this one on sale. It’s still on sale – final clearance!
2. Abstract Paintings
The color combination in this one on sale on Etsy is just so fresh and vibrant. But instead of buying abstract paintings, I’ve painted a couple small ones myself, inspired by these that I’ve collected on Pinterest. Mine are nothing fancy, and I’m not sure where I’m going to put them, but I love that I can paint a small canvas during Edison’s nap. There’s no rules, it’s just fun!
3. Disney World Trip Planning Blog
If I could insert a sound effect of me squealing in delight here, that’s what I’d do. Maybe it’s for the best that WordPress doesn’t offer that as a function yet … but just imagine it really loud and overexcited BECAUSE DISNEY WORLD! Brian gets to go on a work trip to Orlando, and we decided to add a few days and all go! Especially since Edison only has a few more months of being able to go for free. And both Edison and I have been craving travel and the beach.
We’ve gone to Disneyland before, but Disney World is a whole different ball amusement park. I’ve only been once, and just to Epcot (which was incredible!) but on this trip, we want to go to the Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. As I started researching, I quickly became overwhelmed with the FastPass system, and reading that some people recommended you reserve your seat on the ride 60 days in advance – as well as making advance reservations for restaurants, and planning your day in detail.
Thankfully, we have our own private Disney World guides – my sister-in-law and her finance, who’ve already been incredibly helpful with planning our schedule and arranging for magic bands (that we’re not totally sure yet what they’re for, but they look cool!). But I’ve also discovered the world of Disney Mom Blogs. If you aren’t lucky enough to have your own Disney guide, I highly recommend checking out the WDW Prep School Blog. This post on a trip plan with toddlers is incredibly thorough!
4. Maternity Swimsuits
In preparation for our trip, I pulled out the maternity swimsuit I bought a few years ago, only to have the elastic crackle and crumble to nothing. I’ve found some great options this time around though that actually made me almost excited for swimsuit shopping:

So many cute styles and patterns at Albion Fit! I’m sure these are great as an investment piece – and probably won’t crumble into nothing after one season.
A Pea in the Pod
I’m a sucker for stripes!
Motherhood Maternity:
This is my dream life.
